Applique III - Machine



Learn how to prepare blocks for the machine applique. Learn raw-edge and finished edge preparatory techinques and some tips and tricks for achieving a fine finish on your sewing machine.

Materials Included: Kit available $15 payable to instructor
Requirements: Sewing Machine - Clean and in working-order with power cord and foot pedal. A new needle is recommended - if you have an embroidery or microtex needle size 70/10, put it on your machine. It must have a throat plate that allows wide stitches and a minimum of a zig-zag option. Sewing tools typically at hand - scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.; pencil; water soluble marking pen; 50 weight thread to match feature fabric; Elmer's washable glue stick or comparable (Fons and Porter/Uhu); small sharp scissors are preferred.

Instructor Bio: Cena has been piecing and quilting since 1977 when she made some truly exceptional errors with her first quilt. (She'll tell you the story if you ask). She continues to learn best by error, but she has figured out most of the problems new quilters encounter.
