Walk About

Beginner Friendly quilt using only 3 fabrics. You can use those picture squares you've been holding on to, or you can feature one of those fabrics you just hate to cut into small pieces. Cena will teach you to design your own "Walk About" quilt using either half-square triangles or flying geese units - your choice.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Required: Familiarity with general sewing, quilt piecing techniques, use of rotary cutter and personal sewing machine prior to class start
Materials Included: Fabric and Pattern sold separately
Requirements: Sewing machine in good working order with matching thread and extra wound bobbins, standard notions, rotary cutter and 6x24in ruler. You may purchase the pattern if you need it for future reference, but Cena will teach you how to design this quilt in any size you choose with your choice for your favorite technique. Fabrics: 13 squares of fabric you "just can't cut". If those square are small, you may need an accent fabric to make them larger for a decent sized quilt. For example, the picture shows a panel cut up with small square dog pictures and I used a small black print fabric to increase the size of those squares. 1 yard light fabric 1 yard dark fabric
Instructor: Cena Harmon
Instructor Bio: `Cena has been piecing and quilting since 1977 when she made some truly exceptional errors with her first quilt. (She'll tell you the story if you ask). She continues to learn best by error, but she has figured out most of the problems new quilters encounter.
