Stella Star Quilt - A Sliver Quilt

Marilyn will teach a technique to make sharp pointy points without having to foundation piece on fabric or paper. Using the book "Sliver Quilts", she will lead you through the process to make something you did not think you could!

You cannot register for this class online. You must pay for the class by check or cash in the store where materials required details are available in print.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Comfortable use of a sewing machine is the minimum requirement
Materials Included: No pattern required although an ebook is available for purchase
Requirements: sewing machine in good working order, rotary cutter and 12 inch and 24 inch rulers, thread color the color of your "sliver", neutral thread for piecing, scraps for sliver practice (6 inch square, 2 in x 12 in sliver rectangle), pencil or blue washout pen, seam ripper, pins Fabric requirement: Background: 4 fabrics: 1/4 yard each Star rectangles: 1/4 yard Star Centers: (4) 2 1/2 inch squares Sashing: 5/8 yd Slivers and posts: 1 1/4 yards Binding and backing to be determined after completion of the top

Instructor Bio: Marilyn has been quilting actively for the last 15 years with a strong leaning to the modern/traditional influence. She is a member of the PQG and the PMQG and has 3 grandchildren, all of whom own a beautiful quilt!
