Panel Play
Bring your fabric and any coordinating fabric you may have purchased to class. On the first day we will make decisions regarding the techniques you want to use to frame your panel. We will “square up” your panel (they are NEVER square!), and make components for the first border. We will practice a few options to make it easier for you to decide what you want.
Then, the following week after you have attached the first border we will explore the outer border, or add a simple border to keep it on the straight and narrow!
Bring your sewing machine and tools to both sessions!

| Skill Details: | Okay for beginners IF you can sew a fairly consistent ¼ inch seam allowance. |
| Requirements: | Limit 6 students This class requires no pattern because you will design it yourself based on your “vision” for your panel. This means I cannot tell you how much fabric you will need. Bring your panel! We are at a quilt shop so there is always an opportunity to get what you need after you decide what you want to do! Bring: functional sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal, rotary cutter, 6” x 24” ruler, regular sewing notions (pins, scissors, seam ripper etc.), measuring tape, washable fabric markers, pencil/pen to take notes – there is NOT a pattern. |
