Kaleidoscope Table Runner
Dip your toes into the "Kaleidoscope Pool" and find a new passion! We will use simple techniques to create a one-of-a-kind table runner for your favorite holiday! Actually, make that holidays; because I don't think you will stop at just one!
No pattern is required for this class. Bring a lunch - we have both a refrigerator and a microwave if you need one.

| Requirements: | Bring to class: Sewing machine with power cord and foot pedal. Regular notions: seam ripper, scissors, nippers, pins, neutral (gray or white) thread, rotary cutter Fabric Requirements: Choosing fabric for a kaleidoscope: You will need 4 repeats of fabric. However, we are only dipping our toes into the Kaleidoscope pool, so I strongly suggest a border stripe for your first effort. If you use a border stripe, you will only need to buy ½ yard for your center blocks. (just make sure the border stripe has 4 repeats of the same fabric stripe); the holly blocks in the sample table runner were made from a border stripe. If you don’t like any border stripes, search the selvage edges of a fabric you do like and purchase 4 full repeats. Look for repeats less than 23 inches in width or you will end up with a LOT of fabric you won’t use. Make sure the fabric you choose does not have a lot of "empty" background. So: Kaleidoscope fabric: ½ yard – 1 ½ yards, depending on repeat size Background fabric: 1/3 yard Coordinating outer border: 1/3 yard Binding: 1/3 yard |
